I had requested some extras to make the stay extra special for my 2 boys (8 and 3). We paid for chocolate covered strawberries, balloons, and 2 bottles of appletizer. This was £20 which I thought was reasonable. The hotel also put a hamper with easter eggs and sweets in the room as well, which I thought was so kind and thoughtful. The room was a bunk bedroom, which was very spacious, and the beds (bunks and king size) were very comfortable. The room was lovely and modern and very clean. There was an iron with board, hair dryer, mini fridge as well as the usual tv, etc. We were able to order drinks and snacks to the room, and there was an option to have breakfast in the room as well. In the morning we went for breakfast just before 9am. There were no seats in the restaurant, so we sat in the bar area. The options for the buffet breakfast were excellent. Really good verity of hot and cold choices and all very tasty. The only downfall of the stay was the service at breakfast. We had taken advantage of the buffet however my eldest son wanted fried eggs which were made to order so we asked the man serving our area around 9:15am for these along with toast for 4 people as this was made to order as well. The toast came about 15mins later but was only 2 slices. I then ordered a cup of tea at this point as well and queried about the eggs. We were advised that "a lot of people are ordering eggs and we only have 2 chefs so they will be out soon". We had tickets to a show that was starting at 10am so at 9:45am we had to leave but had not got the eggs or tea. I did mention this when checking out and the lovely receptionist apologised, took details of the times we dined, and validated our parking for free. Overall I was very impressed and happy with the stay. I would perhaps attempt to go for breakfast earlier in the hope that the delays with this could be avoided.

As soon as we entered the hotel we noticed how lovely it smelled. I can honestly say I’ve never noticed this about an hotel before, but it really was inviting. The staff was very welcoming, although I wasn’t given my rewards card for the restaurant discount, I did have to chase that up. The food was amazing in the hotel restaurant, we also had room service which wasn’t as nice. The breakfast, which is included in with the price of the room was superb. I had poached egg on toast cooked for me, and to perfection. My son had the buffet breakfast which he enjoyed. The breakfast room manager was lovely, he had good football banter with my son, and then offered him pancakes free of charge, which he accepted and said was epic! The staff really do go the extra mine to help make your stay perfect, and it really does show. The hotel is currently going through renovations, this did not upset our stay at all. Aside from one lift and spa being out of operation, you really couldn’t tell. The room is spacious, very clean and has everything you need - kettle, fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, cotton buds, shower gel, shampoo & separate conditioner. The towels are very large, and super soft. The best thing about our room was the view of the city, we kept the curtains open at night with the view being so pretty. We literally walked out of the station, crossed the road and the hotel was right in front of us. Not even a minute walk.

Family room with bunks. Perfect for 2 night stay. Staff were on it! We arrived late at night after midnight on train. Short walk to the hotel and the staff knew who we were and what we needed had the room ready to go. Very quick. We hadn’t booked breakfast but were advised cheaper (£12pp) to let them know the night before. Vs (£17) in the morning. Kids eat free. Breakfast was a small but solid selection and perfect for getting going.we were able to get GF toast and fried eggs off menu, porridge etc. fresh squeezed orange juice was a lovely touch as well as the smoothies. 9am on weekends seems to be peak time and rather busy but we always got a table and staff were able to keep refresh up. We had day trips planned to arran and Edinburgh so this made the start to the day easy. Honestly we felt very welcomed and small touches like room refresh and new water replaced daily made a world of difference. There js a fridge in the room - which these days isn’t a given and makes the world of difference when travelling with children. We have stayed in a lot of the hotels in Glasgow and can safely say this experience will have us coming back over other hotels that are nearby.

There was a storm the day I arrived early and staff gave me access to room which was great and much appreciated. Great location near central train station, parking was NCP on Oswald street a few minutes walk. Minutes from Buchanan street shopping and restaurants. Due to the storm the menu for dinner was limited but still plenty of variety. Food was well presented and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of variety. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Due to refurbishment going on there wasn’t a gym at the property available, but front desk issued day passes for a local gym nearby.

The breakfast was fabulous, we were there as a family of 5 and ordered room service breakfast. We each wanted something different but I hadn’t realised I should have put next to each item for how many people so we got 5 of everything we ordered. Next time I will know but at no point when it was delivered were we made to feel like we had been greedy The barmaid was excellent, so friendly and helpful. We had stayed 2 nights prior and she had remembered us and what we had been travelling down to stay for so asked my daughter if she had enjoyed her first gig.
